Sport Class Rules

Entry-level class for SOLID-AXLE RC racing.  Class designed to keep cost low. With slightly lower speeds, drivers can focus more on setup and handling of their trucks. Stock or out-of-box trucks are typically acceptable with minimal necessary modifications.

All rules and class criteria are subject to change at any time due to space or to better fit our racing format. Current specifications will always be posted here and at our current racing venue. 


Body 

All bodies from any era are legal- Does not have to be a replica   


Chassis  

Any scale-appearing chassis is legal (tube or plates)  


Axles  

Vehicles must have 2 Solid Axles.  Motor on Axle (MOA/Clod-buster) gearboxes are legal.  Shaft-driven axles are legal.  


Wheels & Tires  

Chevron Tread. Cut and shaved tires are allowed. No traction or cleaning compounds allowed at any time (tire saucing). Must run a “Clod” style wheel or Losi LMT-style wheel. All scale-appearing monster truck tires legal.  


Wheelbase/Width  

No limitations  


Motor Specifications & Gearing  

Sealed-Can brushed motors allowed (12T-21T). Modified gearing allowed (48 pitch, 32 pitch, and MOD gears). Brushless motors- not allowed.   


Battery Limit  

2S Lipo (100C limit)  


Steering 

No limitations  


Shocks  

Oil Shocks  


Suspension  

4-link and Clod-style suspensions allowed
